A Playful Misconception, A Childhood's DreamDelrondu Nightfall July 08 ClosedI have now officially moved 'A Playful Misconception, A Childhood's Dream' to http://delrondu.thinkbrunei.com. I thank MSN Spaces for letting me vent and whine all this while. I couldn't have made it to where I'm at now emotionally and psychologically without it. I really hope they will let me keep this site and all my posts as this has been roughly about two years of my life and I would like to have that option to relive them again someday. And to all readers out there, thanks for reading and especially all your comments, I enjoyed them thoroughly (er, only those that made sense). It has been quite a ride for me here. Now it's time to move on. See you there at thinkBrunei.com! July 02 S'poreJust came back from a trip to S'pore. What I can't believe is that none of my friends mentioned Christina Aguilera was performing on the Saturday that I was going to be there... And I just found out today that she was. I would have gone for the concert, stand outside and hope someone would sell me a ticket if it was full, sit right at the back and watch the big screen if that was the only seat available. I would rather be there than anywhere else on that night. Yes, His, even if that means not meeting you this trip which I'm sure you would understand. Instead, that Saturday night His and I were at IndoChine, which was quite decent as they had a very nice acoustic live band. (I went back there with another friend on Sunday as Steph wanted to check them out.) Their repertoire was big enough to not have sung the same songs during those two nights. But what I really wanted to comment was, after been away from S'pore for what must have been over two years, and after the countless times to KL, S'pore is so much more pleasant and organised. It was very refreshing to say the least. And my experience with Singlish wasn't so bad either. I got drunk on Friday night at this huge ass clubbing scene called St James. I drank more than I usually would attempt and didn't throw up so I was quite pleased with that. However, at about 5am, I woke up with a headache and knew that my body couldn't absorb the alcohol and they had to come out. So off to the toilet bowl I went. After that, falling asleep was almost immediate. Highlights of S'pore this trip round, GST is up by 2% to 7% since yesterday, as well as no more smoking allowed in enclosed areas like pubs and clubs which is good, and their national stadium was closed for renovation I think and they have to celebrate their upcoming national day somewhere near Vivo and Sentosa. Oh and I found out on the news there that HK just celebrated their 10 year of independance after the handover. June 26 Turn-offWhat's a major turn-off? She enjoys the company of a guy whom you detest. good god lol. Transformersmovie.comCheck out transformersmovie.com I would consider this, like Star Wars I II III, as one of the most anticipated movies of our time. I can't wait. And ticket has been booked for this coming Thursday. Meanwhile, the website is still on my desktop because it plays three songs from its soundtrack, namely Linkin Park's What I've Done (don't really care much for it), Goo Goo Dolls' Before It's Too Late (which I think it's just fantastic and about time) and Transformer's Theme, which is just sleek. Any of these songs played any time in the movie will be awesome. Can't wait! Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surferhttp://silverscreen.thinkbrunei.com Beyond The Seahttp://silverscreen.thinkbrunei.com Alonehttp://silverscreen.thinkbrunei.com Ambition"Ambition is the enemy of success." - Barney (How I Met Your Mother, 202) LOL Ocean's Thirteenhttp://silverscreen.thinkbrunei.com 7 little-known facts about meI don't usually do this but heck, I'll give anything a try once in a while. This was a tag from steve. 1. I love to sing, even though I don't have the voice for it (at least I know it). 2. I wish I was good enough a musician to be in the entertainment business. 3. I can be very fickle when buying clothing for myself, or even dressing myself for that matter. 4. When it comes to video gaming, even though I've been playing all my life, I exude some qualities of a retard. 5. Other than a few moments, I cannot recall my primary years at all. 6. I still don't know what I want in life, but I love to perform. 7. My heart is still on the mend. Tagging the following: Carmen His Ji Yung (you know you're there) Michelle Khai Anon Johnny RedundantReceived a memo saying that my position has been made redundant by the company. There goes my night job and there goes my salary and there goes my vacation plans and dancing plans. A change is imminent. Something drastic may occur. Suddenly everything is in perspective. May 26 Top 1Good thing Jordin is crowned the new Idol because if Blake was, I'd be crying about it again like I did Melinda. But all in all, this isn't such an interesting season. And furthermore, the finale wasn't as great as previous seasons. What happened to all the top 12 getting a chance to perform with someone famous individually? Why was that not included? And they rather have the lame awards thing again which is just stupid, silly and ridiculous. My top 5 most painful moments in the finale: 5) When the camera shifts to Paula's face during a certain performance. 4) All of that Golden Idol awards. 3) Watching Sanjaya's solo performance with Joe Perry. 2) Watching Sanjaya being made like a hearthrob during his solo. 1) Watching Sanjaya making the little girl cry... again. The Messengershttp://silverscreen.thinkbrunei.com May 20 Top 2I cannot believe America did it again. Melinda is supposed to be in the finale and now she's out. Popularity against talent, and talent never wins. So upsetting it's sickening. Granted Blake did well, surprisingly well, but even Randy said it should have been a two girl finale. Now if Blake takes home the trophy... sigh what else can I say. Watch this, it's so funny yet true. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QsLwpSZ0IfI IrisWas driving just the other day when i came across this very thin piece of cloud... and it had the colours of the rainbow on it. Amazing. May 17 Top 3I thought these would be the Top 3 as I don't think Lakisha have that huge of a fan base and her singing isn't as good as Melinda. It will be quite an interesting Top 3 performance but seeing Blake perform with the Top 4, without his beat-boxing he isn't that great a singer as compared with the other two surviving contestants. Maybe for once, this will shape up to my kind of AI finale. May 12 Silver ScreenAs of right now, I will not be doing any more movie reviews in this blog. I have a proper blog for it and that looks more professional. plus it is for a good cause. http://silverscreen.thinkbrunei.com more on thinkbrunei.com will follow suit. May 07 HeroesRarely something great comes along. The last one should be Lost Season 1. Heroes Ep 20 was the best yet. Hopefully it won't follow in the disappointments that Lost brought. May 06 Spider-Man 3The Silver Screen, in my o-so-not humble opinion: Spider-Man (rating out of a perfect 10 --- 6.9) Too much stuff cramped into this third instalment. Issues with Sandman, Venom, Eddie Brock, Gwen Stacy, Mary Jane, Goblin, Harry, and ultimately himself. It's information overload. Two and a half hours is already too long and it's still not enough. Gwen Stacy's storyline was disappointing. What a lame excuse to bring her in into the picture although Bryce Dallas Howard did a great job with it. Eddie Brock, Flint Marko and Harry Osborn were great though - great acting by everyone. The Venom storyline was the best but it didn't shine through the rest. And why is Peter Parker revealing himself to all his enemies? The worst part of the movie was how Harry found out it wasn't Spider-Man that killed his father. That and watching Peter getting jiggy with it along the streets of NY. The best part was the city flight-fight scenes and the CGI was very good too. |
